Equivalence study of SIMCA® multivariate NIR models for tablets at-line testing

This presentation describes a preliminary study on equivalency of PLS/PCA NIR models built using SIMCA® compared to current validated models developed using different software. Test models were built in SIMCA® using same calibration spectra as current models, with similar spectra pre-treatment. Equivalence was assessed by primary outputs (scores/loadings),specific model predictions and outlier diagnostics. This effort is expected to allow manufacturing sites flexibility to use different multivariate software for operability/business reasons.

From Complexity to Clarity: Multivariate Data Analysis for Smarter Process Monitoring

Traditional process monitoring relies on univariate plots, making it labour-intensive and often leading to post-process analysis. In contrast, multivariate data analysis condenses multiple plots into key visualizations, enabling Operators to quickly identify trends and anomalies. This approach serves as an early warning system, enhancing real-time monitoring, improving productivity, and reducing the risk of costly deviations.
