As a Project Manager at IMAPAC, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of our industry-leading conferences. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality events that exceed our clients' expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Market research

  • Undertake national and/or global market research to ensure the best quality content, speaker, delegate and target market profile

Programme development

  • Compile a topical conference programme that exactly meets the needs of the identified target audience with well respected, director level speakers

Marketing

  • Gain data and understanding of identified primary and secondary markets, be a valuable resource and partner to your marketing team and write benefit-driven marketing copy for your event

Sales and Business Development

  • Maximize sponsorship and exhibition revenue on your events and build a strong network and ideas for future events
  • Manage sales outlook and forecast of projects
  • Take effective measures in a timely manner to improve and increase the sales potential of projects
  • Writing a comprehensive business plan to outline strategic objectives and operational strategies

Financial and Productivity Management

  • Produce cost-effective events of the highest quality to attract sponsorship and delegates thereby maximizing revenue – by deadline and within budget.

Client Relationship Management

  • Ensure delegates, speakers, sponsors and exhibitors enjoy a memorable, highly positive experience and exceptional service.

Project Management

  • Oversee all aspects of project management and processes including project establishment, business planning, initiation, execution and closing
  • Identify process improvements that enhance production and sales efforts and results.
  • Regularly report on project schedules, financial outlook and process statuses.
  • Understands and assures quality standards are met on all projects.
  • Negotiate and finalize partnership agreements, ensuring terms are favourable and mutually beneficial.

Requirements

  • Proven 5 years and above of experience in project management, preferably in the events or conference industry.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software.
  • Positive attitude, resilience, and a commitment to delivering excellence.
